Nestled in one of the most picturesque locations in the North West of Ireland, this boardwalk connects an exclusive holiday development “Cuan na Rí” to a sandy beach in Sheep Haven Bay, Donegal. The 1Km boardwalk was sourced from locally sustainable forests and produced and supplied by local sawmill, Drenagh Sawmills. The timber was selected, cut and dried before being preservative treated with Celcure AC500 at the saw mill’s HQ in Limavady, Co. Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The boardwalk links the holiday homes through sand dunes to a 5 km golden sandy beach leading to the Atlantic Ocean.
The architect involved with this 5,000 square foot private residence specified that the entire roof truss was treated with Protim E406. The timber was factory treated prior to the roof assembly and transported to site. The preservative protection offers 60 years protection and “peace of mind” that one of the most important structures of the dwelling is protected long into the future and at very little additional cost.
